I’m a Liberal Democrat. I work in Parliament and write on a weekly basis for Total Politics. I’m increasingly cynical about the whole setup. I am far from perfect.
I’ll be jotting down my random thoughts, musings and opinions on the grand issues of the day as well as the minutiae of parliamentary gossip, going on’s and trivia. I expect hardly anyone will bother reading it.
Likes, getting stuff done, filter coffee, changing things, a good plan coming together.
Dislikes cats, stories about cats, cat puns, casework, ideologues.
It is said nothing hurts a new truth more than an old error. This is correct.
It is also said that a “Churchill martini” contains no vermouth, just British gin. The legend holds that Churchill would get as close to the vermouth bottle as to “look at it from across the room.” Churchill was a sensible bloke.
“It’s the heart that’s afraid of breaking that never learns to dance.
It’s the dream that’s afraid of waking that never takes the chance.
It’s the one who won’t be taken who cannot seem to give.
And the soul that’s afraid of dying that never learns to live”
Finally – its only arrogance if you’re wrong.
